Wellness Through Health is being launched to bring holistic care to people as they travel through life. Assisting people to strive towards a state of well-being in their life. Life is multidimensional and multifaceted. Combining foundations in good nutrition, exercise and sleep, our strengths and values, finding meaning in life, having activities that give us a sense of achievement and social activities with others in our community help us move towards living the life we want. Finding meaning in life, activities that give us a sense of achievement and social activities with others in our community serve as additional important areas in our lives. Over the course of life, there can be challenges, that test us, and might be confronting, and having a range of skills to help with managing in the face of difficult situations.
Peter is the founder of Wellness Through Health and brings training as both a Clinical Psychologist and Physiotherapist to his business, seeing the importance of the integration of perspectives of psychological skills and physical activity. He brings these skills together to assist people through several service streams including:
- One on one clinical psychological counselling
- Online group-based programs to develop mindfulness and other psychological skills
- Online programs for people diagnosed with cancer to help them develop mindfulness and psychological coping skills during the stages of initial diagnosis, intensive treatment and then to rebound after their treatment to reengage with life.
He hopes to support people to move through difficult challenges, gain some additional coping skills and be able to live a richer, fuller and meaningful life.
